Interior House Painting

Color Selection:

The first step will be to decide what colors you would like to paint your house. Paint swatches and samples are available for viewing and pickup at your local Sherwin Williams and Kwal paint stores. Sherwin Williams also has a color visualizer to view colors on your home which you can see here https://www.sherwin-williams.com/visualizer/. Please keep in mind that colors may vary in shade depending on the quality of your monitor/screen and may look different than the actual paint on your home. If you need further assistance, Kwal Paint and Sherwin Williams also offer a free color consultation. If you are uncertain about how a color may look up on your house, Baseline Painting will provide up to three free samples per household to pick-up at an agreed Sherwin Williams or Kwal store. Every sample after that is $10 dollars each. Once you have selected your colors, please email or fax your color selection form to Baseline Painting.

If Baseline is matching a color from a different paint manufacturer into a Sherwin Williams or a Kwal paint, we will have you sign-off on the newly matched color swatch before we begin your painting project.

Scheduling:

Baseline will schedule your painting start date after  receiving your colors and price confirmation on our color selection form. We all know Colorado weather is unpredictable and there may be other unforeseen circumstances that change your schedule. Our office staff will always make our best efforts to keep your original painting schedule.

Before We Start:

The homeowner must perform some miscellaneous duties in the home to prepare for the crew arrival. Please remove all pictures, photos or anything hanging on the walls and place it on the beds, tables or any other safe place that we can easily cover in plastic, your estimator will discuss & schedule what is to be done with your blinds and or curtains/valances or hardware for safe storage. Our painters will move the large items in the home unless other arrangements have been made with the estimator before we cover them in plastic. The crew is not responsible for removing and/or installing hardware, however, Baseline will remove all switch/outlet plates and light covers that are screwed into the walls. If you have pets, we ask that you keep them outside or in a room which is not being painted that day.

Start Date & What To Expect:

1.) Prep-work – Our painters will caulk seams around baseboards and trim as needed, spackle small holes that have been identified by the home owner and noted by the estimator, prime exposed wood, cover furniture and other areas with plastic as needed.

2.) Painting – When a home is occupied we generally brush and roll the interior unless other arrangements are made. When a home is unoccupied then we generally spray, roll and brush the paint. (For more information on our products (CLICK HERE)

3.) Clean-up – Our crews will perform a light daily clean-up and upon completion remove any other plastic, tape and debris from your home as best we can.

4.) Final walk through – Our crew leader will walk your home with you and look over all painted areas verifying their completion. If any areas require touch-up they will all be completed at that time. Our crew leader will present a simple completion form for you to complete and sign.

Payment:

Payment is due at time of walk through unless other arrangements were scheduled in writing with Baseline.
